New from SSPU, Lykke Li, in case you missed it!
In case you missed it, Lykke Li released "The Lost Sessions Vol. 1", last week, which highlights the singers unique voice even more with 3 acoustic versions of tracks off her latest album, "Wounded Ryhmes" (http://soundcloud.com/lykkeli). The Lost Sessions Vol. 1 includes acoustic versions of "I Follow Rivers", "Jerome", and "Youth Knows No Pain". Li introduced the tracks to her fans via Facebook right around the holidays stating:
"What is lost can be found and what is found can be lost again; VOL. 1.
I'd thought I'd give you this to put in your little players, either stick it in your ears or play it loud when the lights are low, mind weary and days rainy.
Remember; life is a process, no feeling is final.
There is no end and no beginning. Yours truly always.

If you're a fan, or haven't heard her new album yet, this will make you fall in love with her (again).
Another band gave their fans a little holiday treat this season after being off the radar for a while, Silversun Pickups made their recent limited edition vinyl record available digitally. They set out for Seasick to be a special vinyl purchase for Record Store Day, but the band finally launched the previously unreleased b-sides from their 2009 album Swoon over the interwebs, making fans like me very happy! All I could think was "finally!!", waiting 2 years for music from the band was getting tiring, but you will be happy to hear they are hard at work working on their third album. Hopefully, it will be released in Spring of 2012. Check out "Seasick" below.
