Best Hotels in the West Village

Stretching north from Houston Street to 14th Street and from Sixth Avenue west to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the most diverse areas of New York City. Native New Yorkers and visitors alike can stroll down the tree-lined cobblestone streets, shop at the unusual boutiques and grab something to eat in one of the many great restaurants.

The Washington Square Arch and New York University are just blocks away. A few miles to the south is Wall Street, the financial capital of the world. Head a few miles north and you will find yourself in Times Square and the heart of the Theater District. If museums are your thing, you can take a short cab ride up to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and maybe stroll through Central Park.

The West Village is home to some very unique New York City hotels. Whether you are looking for a budget hotel, a moderately priced hotel or a slightly more upscale hotel, you can find the best New York hotels in your price range in the West Village.

The Jane Hotel

Bordering the Meatpacking District, the Jane Hotel is just a couple of blocks from the Hudson River. Guests will immediately notice the extremely small rooms that are peculiar to this boutique hotel. With a nautical motif, rooms are referred to as cabins. The Standard Cabin is only 50 square feet. Guests share bathrooms and showers in the Standard and Bunk Bed Cabins. If you are not into communal living, you can opt for a Captain's Cabin which will give you 150-250 square feet of space and a private bathroom. What attracts the most people to the Jane Hotel are its very low rates.
