Outdoor music concerts are all part of “summer in the city.” And the annual Warm Up Saturdays series, held in the courtyard of MoMA PS1 in Long Island City, is sizzling. Every Saturday from June 28 to September 6, audiences can experience the best in experimental music from local and international artists across a full variety of genres.
MoMA PS1 is one of the oldest contemporary art venues in the United States and an affiliate of the Museum of Modern Art in Manhattan. Its mission is to showcase some of the most cutting-edge art anywhere.
WarmUp 2014 is the 17th in the popular outdoor music series and also features an installation called Hy-Fi by architectural firm “The Living” ( David Benjamin), a winner of the Young Architects Program at MoMA PS1. Hy-Fi is a temporary urban landscape built from 100% organic material.
Warm Up 2014 series takes the stage every Saturday from June 28, 2014 to September 6, 2014, rain or shine, at MoMA PS1. Cocktails and grab-and-go food are available during the events.
