2014 Tony Performers Announced, Including Neil Patrick Harris and Idina Menzel

More stars are being added the roster of performers for the 68th annual Tony Awards to be presented June 8 at Radio City Music Hall and broadcast on CBS from 8-11 p.m. EST. Neil Patrick Harris will perform a number with the cast from his nominated show Hedwig and the Angry Inch as will Idina Menzel with the cast of her show If/Then.

Other big names performing include Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight, Fantasia, and the cast of After Midnight, Sutton Foster and the cast of Violet, Alan Cumming and the company of Cabaret, and Sting who, will be performing a number from his musical The Last Ship due on Broadway next season. Also look for excerpts from such nominated shows as Aladdin, Beautiful—The Carole King Musical, Bullets Over Broadway, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, Les Miserables, and Rocky as well as Wicked, celebrating its tenth anniversary.

These performers join the roster of big name presenters already announced, including Bradley Cooper (The Elephant Man this fall), Clint Eastwood (director, film version of Jersey Boys), Maggie Gyllenhaal (The Real Thing next season) and Kenneth Branagh (Macbeth). Tony winner and Oscar nominee Hugh Jackman will host the event for the fourth time.
