The new play Act One makes its official Broadway debut tonight.
Based on the memoir of Moss Hart, the play follows the celebrated playwright from his childhood in a New York tenement to his eventual Broadway success with hits like Once in a Lifetime. Tony Shalhoub stars as Hart’s collaborator George S. Kaufman as well as Hart in later years. Santino Fontana portrays the younger Hart, and Andrea Martin, who won a Tony last year for Pippin, co-stars as Aunt Kate.
Act One opens tonight at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre at 150 W 65th St. Get tickets!
