Opening Tonight on Broadway: ‘Of Mice and Men’ Starring James Franco

A new staging of John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men officially opens tonight on Broadway, for a limited run through July 27.

This marks the Broadway debut for James Franco as well as co-stars Chris O’Dowd and Leighton Meester. Franco stars as George and O’Dowd as his simple friend Lennie, two field workers making their way through Depression-era California. They find work at a ranch, but things take a tragic turn after an encounter between Lennie and the boss’s daughter-in-law, played by Meester. The play is directed by Tony-winner Anna D. Shapiro.

Of Mice and Men opens tonight at the Longacre Theatre at 220 W 48th St. Get tickets!
