Legend James Earl Jones returns to Broadway this fall in the revival of Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman’s You Can’t Take It With You.
Two-time Tony Award winner Jones leads an 18-member cast in this major new production of the inspired comedy that won the Pulitzer Prize in 1937. The story follows the hilariously eccentric Sycamore clan who live together in a rambling old house in New York City. Chaos reigns when “normal” daughter Alice brings her new beau and his family home for dinner. Clearly oil and vinegar do not mix. The starry cast also includes two-time Golden Globe nominee Rose Byrne (Bridesmaids), Tony nominee Annaleigh Ashford (Kinky Boots), Tony nominee Kristine Nielsen (Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike) and Tony winner Elizabeth Ashley (Gore Vidal’s The Best Man).
Previews for You Can’t Take It With You begin August 26 at the Longacre Theatre in advance of a September 28 opening. The limited engagement runts through January 4, 2015. Get tickets!
