Tony Nominees Headed to the Kitchen for Broadway Bakes

This week marks the second annual Broadway Bakes at Schmakary’s Cookies in the Theater District. Major Broadway stars, including current Tony nominees, will man the counter each afternoon to sell cookies, and all tips plus half of the sales will go to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Last year the program raised nearly $10,000. This year’s participants include Audra McDonald from Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill, Sutton Foster and Joshua Henry from Violet, Hedwig and the Angry Inch‘s Lena Hall, and Ramin Karimloo of Les Miserables. A full list of participants is below. Schmakary’s Cookies is located at 45th Street and 9th Avenue in Manhattan.
