What do you love about New York?

1. My favorite place is the Brooklyn Bridge where you see the most beautiful view of the city. And one of my favorite things is to walk over the bridge as the sun is setting. And when you walk back over, you get the nighttime view. The first time I walked across the Brooklyn Bridge was right after I moved to New York from Alabama in 2009. I walked across with my friends at sunset. We ate at Grimaldi’s, a pizza place in Brooklyn and then walked back to Manhattan. … I remember walking over the bridge and thinking, WOW, I live here.

2. As far as rituals go, I eat the bash burger all the time. It’s a burger that they serve at Lure Fishbar where I used to work. They also have it at Burger and Barrel, their sister restaurant. The bash burger has won the New York City Burger Bash. It is the most incredible burger I’ve ever had in the world. It has bacon and onion chutney and a special sauce and it’s amazing.
