About B.B. King Blues Club & Grill
B.B. King is one of the greatest singer/songwriter/guitarists to grace an American stage, and this live music club is a hopping spot that lives up to his name. A music venue, bar and restaurant all rolled into one neat Times Square package, the club delivers big-name music and an exciting, one-of-a-kind New York City experience.
R&B legends often grace the stage, of course, but so do top performers from music genres as diverse as country, jazz and Latin. Everyone from Bonnie Tyler to Boyz II Men, Al Green to Chaka Khan and James Brown to Roberta Flack has played here, as has the big man himself. This is one venue you want on your short-list of places to visit in New York City for an authentic live music experience.
Beyond the show, you'll find Lucille’s Bar & Grill, named for the legend's famed guitar. The bi-level restaurant and bar hosts nightly live music that's independent of the club acts in the main room and has a hearty menu the likes of steaks, chops and barbecue. You’ll find plenty of drinks, too, along with signature beers on tap. It’s no wonder New York Press dubbed Lucille’s "the best great bar that you’d never suspect was a great bar."
As if that wasn't enough, stop in on Saturdays for the all-you-can-eat Beatles brunch, featuring live entertainment that recreates a Beatles concert with all the right vibes, or on Sundays for a soul-food Gospel Brunch, with an all-you-can-eat buffet (how do South Carolina grits, buttermilk pancakes and barbecue chicken sound?) and gospel performances that encourage grooving.
Note that seating is on a first come/first served basis, and the hosts can't seat incomplete parties, so arrive early for the best seats. Although there’s no dress code, shorts are discouraged.
B.B. King Blues Club & Grill is open daily from 11am to 1am for lunch, dinner and drinks. Concert start times vary, but most shows begin at 8pm and 10:30pm. Doors open at 6pm for most shows. Concert length depends on performance.
