About the Hotel Grand Union
Located in the quiet and residential Murray Hill neighborhood, the Hotel Grand Union boasts clean and spacious rooms, a location convenient to all of Midtown’s top attractions and a management and front-desk staff that hails from Greece and Turkey – which results in a warm and friendly Mediterranean vibe.
The facade of the ten-floor pre-war building still retains its original details, including a large sculptural egg on either side of the front entrance. The pleasant white-on-white lobby is bright and clean, with a spacious adjacent sitting room decorated with local art – the perfect space to plan a day’s adventures.
Hotel Grand Union’s modest rooms are simply decorated with tapestry bedspreads and wooden headboards and feature refrigerators, marble bathrooms, and complimentary high-speed Internet access. Quad Rooms are available for larger groups or families, and feature two singles beds, one full bed and a table with chairs.
An adjacent coffee shop, the Captain’s Café, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
