An upgrade of Gray Line NY’s All Loops bus tour, the Classic New York Tour gives ticket holders 48 hours in which to experience all of the company's double-decker bus itineraries, or "loops," and adds tickets to two of New York City's most famous attractions.
Each of the bus loops – Uptown, Downtown, Night (aka the Night Tour) and Brooklyn – lasts a little more than two hours. Ticket holders can take them in any order, and on the Uptown and Downtown loops, passengers can "hop on, hop off" – get off at Gray Line bus stops near attractions, and return to the tour whenever they’re ready to. The open double-decker buses provide a unique touring perspective, where ticket holders are above the crowded sidewalks, but still able to experience the energy from New York's streets.
The Uptown itinerary loops around Central Park and through the Upper West Side, Morningside Heights, Harlem and Fifth Avenue's Museum Mile. The Downtown Loop includes Times Square, the Empire State Building, Greenwich Village, SoHo and Wall Street. The Brooklyn Loop visits sights like the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and the brownstones of Fort Greene. The Night Tour covers many of the sights of the Downtown Loop – the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, the Brooklyn Bridge, Rockefeller Center – but seen at night, these attractions are even more spectacular.
Finally, Classic New York includes tickets to an observation deck (either at the Empire State Building or at Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center) and a Statue of Liberty ferry ticket.
Did you know?
Since the Downtown Loop is "hop on, hop off," it's possible to get off the bus at Battery Park, take the Brooklyn Loop from there, and then return for the rest of the Downtown tour.
Between two and three hours for individual loops; 48 hours for the pass.
