An eight-hour, all-inclusive bus tour, Gray Line New York’s Manhattan Experience is a perfect introduction to New York City's most famous borough. From Grant's Tomb in Harlem down to Wall Street and the World Trade Center, the tour also includes a harbor cruise past the Statue of Liberty and lunch in Little Italy.
Starting at the Gray Line Visitor Center in Midtown, the Manhattan Experience is an eight-hour trek in an enclosed, air-conditioned bus that introduces visitors to New York's most popular neighborhoods and attractions. A knowledgeable tour guide points out famous sights, describing the history of New York City and the daily lives of New Yorkers. Visitors travel through Times Square and the West Side, past Madison Square Garden and the Empire State Building, up to Grant's Tomb and down through Greenwich Village, past the World Trade Center and into Little Italy and the Wall Street Financial District. From the bus, they see Harlem's Apollo Theater and the famous Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Plaza Hotel, Chinatown and the Lower East Side.
The trip also includes walking tours of Grant's Tomb, Riverside Church and Central Park's Conservatory Garden; lunch in Little Italy; and a boat cruise in New York Harbor. The cruise passes the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge, and allows passengers to see parts of the city that many visitors miss, like Castle Clinton in Battery Park, Governors Island and Brooklyn Heights. The bus tour concludes in Midtown with a trip to the Top of the Rock Observation Deck at 30 Rockefeller Center, which offers stunning views of the entire island of Manhattan.
