About The Yankee Stadium Players Tour
The Yankee Stadium Players Tour hits it out of the park. It’s your exclusive chance to tour the new Yankee Stadium with a current player on the Yankees roster as your up-close and personal guide. You’ll go behind the scenes. You’ll stand on the field itself and gaze up at the stands. You’ll hear the stories of baseball legends of today and of yore. You’ll get the scoop on what’s happening this season from a major-league insider.
Founded in 1901, the Yankees are the stuff of legends, New York or elsewhere. They’ve won an astonishing 27 World Series championships, making them the most-winning team in all of professional sports.
On this unforgettable trip, you’ll meet up with a current Yankees player, who’ll show you the way. Picture this: You’ll go inside the famed Yankees clubhouse where the players’ locker rooms are located and where the team works out, visit Monument Park, the open-air museum at the new stadium with plaques and retired numbers, and tour the batting cages where hitters get ready to stare down a pitcher at home plate. Plus, you’ll walk the stadium and the playing field itself -- an amazing experience -- and see the Yankee Stadium Museum, the Press Box and the Great Hall.
Since you’ll have a Yankees player as your guide, your tour will also include 10 minutes of Q&A in the dugout. And be sure and bring your camera and your Yankees memorabilia, because there will the chance for personal photo-ops and autographs too.
The tour lasts from 45 minutes to one hour and includes an autographed photo and gift from the team.
Did you know?
The new Yankee Stadium opened in 2009 as a replacement for the first arena, which opened in 1923. Located adjacent to the original structure, the new stadium incorporates some of the original façade’s classic elements as an homage to its history and legacy.
The team was originally established as the Baltimore Orioles in 1901 before moving to New York City two years later to become the New York Highlanders. They became the Yankees in 1913 and have been making history ever since.
Some of the team’s most famous players include such superstars as Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Mickey Mantle and Yogi Berra, along with such current-day legends as Derek Jeter and Mark Teixeira.
Baseball fans will eat this one up. It’s the chance to see one of the world’s top teams on their gorgeous new home turf through the eyes of a current player, after all. This tour covers all the bases -- and then some.
Good for kids?
Kids who are old enough to love the game will eat up everything about this tour, and they'll make memories to last a lifetime.
