About Valentine’s Day Brunch Cruise – Hornblower Cruises
Hornblower Cruises has just the event to make Valentine's Day last a bit longer: a day-after Valentine’s Day Brunch Cruise. It's a completely original way to celebrate with that special someone -- or someones! If it’s ambiance you’re after, what could be more romantic than a luxurious yacht cruise down the Hudson River with the Manhattan skyline unfurling beside you?
Waste no time settling in with the first of your unlimited free prosecco mimosas on one of the yacht’s state-of-the-art observation decks. Then relax as Hornblower’s resident DJ spins tunes to set the tone for a luxurious, refreshing afternoon of feasting and cruising down the Hudson past landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, the Brooklyn Bridge and the iconic New York skyline.
Each group of guests will enjoy an brunch buffet (including carving and dessert stations) at their own private table. Hornblower prides itself on the high quality of its culinary offerings, and this exquisite spread includes both breakfast and lunch selections such as scrambled eggs and Applewood smoked bacon, fresh seasonal fruits, assorted pastries, bagels and cream cheese, grilled salmon with roasted tomato and onion relish, braised short ribs, and roasted seasonal vegetables -- and that’s just for a start. Make sure to save room for dessert and Hornblower’s unlimited signature coffee and herbal teas.
Hornblower specializes in luxury sightseeing cruise experiences out of city ports, and the Valentine’s Day Brunch Cruise is scheduled to take place on the Hornblower’s newest yacht, the Hybrid. The Hybrid’s cutting-edge, eco-friendly design is worth a tour all by itself -- the yacht is powered by hydrogen fuel cells, solar panels and wind turbines, with flooring made from post-consumer recycled materials and custom countertops crafted of recycled glass and colored vodka bottles. Think of it as a love-letter to the environment! The yacht’s design also incorporates unobstructed views from its climate-controlled indoor decks (each deck with a full cash bar) so you’ll be warm and snug whatever the weather. This Valentine’s Day it’s time to break out of the mold and try something new -- treat yourself and the ones you love.
Board the cruise at 1pm for a 2pm embarkation (time subject to change). All guests must check-in and board the vessel at least one hour before the cruise embarks. The dress code for this cruise is "dressy casual," so no torn jeans, shorts, tank-tops, sportswear, flip-flops or gym shoes. The cruise will set sail rain or shine, with plenty of indoor seating for all passengers in the event of bad weather.

It used to be believed that if a woman saw a robin flying overhead on Valentine’s Day she was destined to marry a sailor.
This cruise is perfect for couples or groups who want to celebrate Valentine’s Day in a unique and not necessarily couples-only fashion. Visitors to the city will also appreciate this "only in New York" experience of the holiday!
Good for kids?
While children 3 and under are free, and children ages 4 to 12 receive a discount off the regular ticket price, this cruise caters to adult passengers.
