Few cities in the world can compete with New York when it comes to food. From legendary pizza slices to French pastries and over-the-top cronuts, the city is one giant dining adventure. In his video 72 HOURS in New York City Eating at the BEST Restaurants, creator Chris Chann spent a full weekend eating his way through the Big Apple — and he didn’t miss a beat.

Day 1: Friday — Tacos, Pizza & Sweets

  • Los Tacos No. 1: Chris kicked things off with freshly made tortillas and classic tacos, paired with an ice-cold Mexican Coke.
  • Angelina’s Pizza & Desserts: Skipping the long line at Joe’s, he stumbled into a local gem for flavorful pies and a killer dessert spread.

Day 2: Saturday — Pancakes, Pastries & Cronuts

  • Friedman’s: A hearty steak-and-eggs breakfast, but the star was the lemon meringue pancakes — “out of this world.”
  • Paris Baguette: Fresh croissants and strawberry cream pastries that had the group raving.
  • Dominique Ansel Bakery: Home of the original cronut. Chris tried the month’s special mango-filled version, along with a peach tart.
  • Mercer Labs: Not food, but worth noting — an immersive art museum stop before lunch.
  • Eataly (at Westfield World Trade Center): Fresh mozzarella, authentic Italian bites, and the kind of flavors you just can’t get outside Italy.
  • Live Music: They capped the night with an unforgettable Kanye performance.

Day 3: Sunday — Classics & Comfort Food

  • The Grey Dog: A casual breakfast spot (he was too hungry to film before finishing his plate).
  • Joe’s Pizza: The legendary NYC slice he’d been waiting for. “You cannot get this anywhere else.”
  • Black Iron Burger: A stacked double patty burger with bacon, caramelized onions, and a fried egg.
  • The Donut Pub: Chris claims their cronut beats Dominique Ansel’s. His pick? The French Toast flavor — sweet perfection.

Day 4: Monday — Donuts & Skateboarding History

Before leaving the city, Chris squeezed in more sweets — passionfruit, pistachio, and chocolate-filled cronuts from Donut Pub — and a nostalgic visit to Brooklyn Banks, the legendary skate spot recently reopened.

Final Word

In just three days, Chris showed what makes New York a food lover’s paradise: global flavors, hidden gems, and iconic classics. From tacos and pizza to cronuts and burgers, every bite was worth the hype.
