The last week in August is always a tough one for parents. Camp is over, the family vacation is in the rearview mirror, and the start of school is two weeks away. What are you going to do with the kids? You've taken them to all the new movies, they've been to the kid-friendly museum exhibits, and the waterparks are packed to capacity. What's left? Broadway is an option, but you need deep pockets for that, right? Not necessarily. On Tuesday, August 20, you can take them to see a Broadway show for free.

Theatrical trade association The Broadway League has announced the return of Kids Night on Broadway, the annual event where kids 18 and under can attend a participating Broadway show for free when accompanied by a full-paying adult. Here's how it works: The offer is applied as 50% off each ticket when purchased as a pair–so it's basically a two-for-one deal. You have to buy in pairs; everyone needs a ticket, and no additional ‘free' tickets can be added to orders. For a family with two kids, it's the perfect time to turn a date night into a family night. If you have more than two kids, it's a great time to include their favorite aunt or uncle.

"Kids' Night on Broadway is back this summer creating a wonderful occasion for children, teens, and families to experience a night out in New York City and enjoy a Broadway show," said Jason Laks, interim president of The Broadway League.

Participating this year is a mix of perennial Disney family favorites, classic revivals, and recent Tony Award-winning shows for your older kids. The full list includes:
