FALL IN NY

Who doesn't love fall in NYC? There's a chill in the air, the leaves are changing and the holidays are right around the corner.

More Information About FALL IN NY

Fall is a wonderful time to be in NYC, thanks to beautiful foliage and a welcome end to the sweltering sun of summer.

Just because you're in the city doesn't mean you'll miss out on spectacular fall foliage. All of the city's major parks glow with red and orange once the leaves change. And you don't have to hike to see it all. You can head to Central Park for a pedi-cab ride or hop on a double decker bus to be right at the tree line. Or see the foliage from the observation deck at Top of the Rock, which is just a few blocks south of the park.

The fall is also a great time to visit The Cloisters in Northern Manhattan's Fort Tyron Park. The museum and gardens are located right above the Hudson, giving you a perfect vantage point to see the foliage on both sides of the river. If you want to go even further afield, Circle Line offers cruises up to Bear Mountain that depart from 42nd Street in Manhattan, and On Board Sightseeing has a bus tour that goes up the Palisades Parkway. Fall also means a new season on Broadway. Major stars will be coming to the stage, including Ewan McGregor and Maggie Gyllenhaal in 'The Real Thing', James Earl Jones and Rose Byrne in 'You Can't Take It With You' and Bradley Cooper in 'The Elephant Man'.
