SPRING IN NY

Winter is over, and NYC is in bloom! Here are our recommendations on top things to do this season.

More Information About SPRING IN NY

At long last, winter is over and New York City is in full bloom. This is one of the best times of year to head outside and see what the city has to offer.

Spring is when warm-weather attractions such as open-air cruises and bike tours are gearing back up again. Clipper City and Hornblower Cruises & Events, which travel around the New York harbor, offer dinner and drinks while you absorb the city skyline in the distance. Or, discover NYC on two wheels with bike rentals and tours from companies like the Central Park Sightseeing Bike Tour. You can take a guided tour, or rent a bike and explore on your own.

Spring brings greenery back to Central Park and one of the best ways to see the trees waking up from winter is to head to Top of the Rock. The views are also spectacular from the Empire State Building Observatory.

The Spring Broadway season is also heating up: ‘Blackbird,’ starring Jeff Daniels and Michelle Williams, is one of the season's hottest tickets. There are lots of great musicals to choose from, including Steve Martin and Edie Brickell’s new musical ‘Bright Star,’ as well as 'Beautiful: the Carole King Musical,’ the lively ‘On Your Feet! The Story of Emilio and Gloria Estefan’ and, of course, the wildly popular ‘Hamilton.’ Plus, plenty of crowd-pleasing classics are also on view, including ‘Phantom of the Opera’ and ‘Wicked.’
