More Information About WINTER IN NY

Coming to NYC this winter? The city has lots to do, even when the temp dips below freezing. From hot museums and shows to cool outdoor spots like skating rinks and parks for sledding, it's a great time to explore the Big Apple.

New York City has some pretty stellar ice skating rinks, including the famed ice under the gilded Prometheus statue in Rockefeller Center and Wollman Rink in Central Park. There are also many famous places to grab hot chocolate as well, from City Bakery in Chelsea to MarieBelle's in SoHo. New York's museums like the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim and the American Museum of Natural History are perfect for spending a chilly day. They are also located right near Central Park if you want to balance your indoor museum time with some frolicking in the snow.

Broadway heats up during this time of year as well. This winter, new shows are opening, including ‘On Your Feet,’ with Emilio and Gloria Estefan and 'Allegiance' with George Takei. This is also prime time to see classic shows like 'Wicked', 'The Phantom of the Opera' and 'The Lion King'.
