It’s that time of year again! Off-Broadway Week is back once more with a fabulous and fresh rotation of sensational musical hits that’ll be sure to wow any and every visitor. 

 

When is Off-Broadway Week?

From February 12th - March 3rd, the perfect mix of long-running and newcomer performances will be featured in tons of intimate theaters at bargain prices across the city. Now that that’s out of the way, here are the diverse performances scheduled for this season that theater nerds should check out.

 

A Perfect Peace

A jaded young soldier gets more than he bargained for after leaving his life and family behind in 1960s rural Israel to explore the unknown. February 28th through May 18th. Opening night is set for March 11th.

 

All the Devils Are Here: How Shakespeare Invented the Villain

Broadway sensation Patrick Page takes the audience through Shakespeare’s literary canon and breathes new life into the author’s depictions of evil and human nature. Through March 31st.

 

Blue Man Group 

Still capturing hearts and minds at their original location, these three bald, blue, big names are sure to make guests laugh their socks off! Experience this multisensory and interactive show for the ages. 

 

Brooklyn Laundry

A story about life, love, adulthood, and all the nitty gritty in between chronicling the life of three sisters and a guy who runs a laundry in Brooklyn. February 28th - March 31st.

 

Cinderella: The Musical

The classic and beloved fairytale brought to life once more on stage. All matinee performances include the Interactive Family Workshop, giving audiences the chance to meet a few cast and crew members and make some art! This is especially recommended for children under seven years old. February 25th - April 7th. 

 

Dead Outlaw

This 70s murder-mystery musical gives a take on the true life story of Elmer McCurdy. February 28th- April 7th.

 

Drunk Shakespeare 

Want to see what happens when one member of The Drunk Shakespeare Society takes 5 shots of whiskey before auditioning for a major role in a Shakespearean play? Kick back with a craft cocktail and watch the hilarity ensue. 21+ only. 

 

Eva Luna

Based on the novel by Isabel Allende, this coming-of-age tale follows a woman’s journey from a meager upbringing to an accomplished force in her own right. Performed in Spanish with English subtitles. March 3rd - June 1st.

 

Five: The Parody Musical

These five funny ladies want to Make America Laugh Again™ with their musical comedy starring some of the women who’ve had an impact on Donald Trump. February 15th - March 10th.

 

Friel Project- Aristocrats 

Set in the fictional Irish town of Billybeg, Aristocrats centers on the  O’Donnell family who find themselves amid dysfunction and decay- both among their family and in society at large. January 11th - March 3rd.

 

Friends! The Musical Parody

Fans of the feel-good show Friends will love this zany take on the series. What starts as a normal day at the Central Perk turns into a must-see musical comedy when a runaway bridge enters the fray and takes the gang for a ride. February 18th - June 2nd.

 

Gazillion Bubble Show 

The best bubble artistry in the Big Apple! The Gazillion Bubble Show is great for all ages and immerses guests in a magical soapy, stimulating spectacle audiences won’t forget anytime soon. 

 

Hotel Happy

Two women in the sex industry encounter an unusual donkey they must protect from American mercenaries visiting their Bogotá hotel on a special mission. USA-Colombia relations, sex tourism in the latter, and its ties to the nation’s ongoing armed conflict. February 14th - March 3rd.

 

Jack Tucker: Comedy Standup Hour

Comedian Zach Tucker’s alter ego takes the stage to make guests laugh no matter what. Truly an absurdist and high-energy act for the ages. February 29th - March 30th.

 

Jonah

A girl. A boy. The thrill of desire. The complexities of intimacy. The twists and turns of the human psyche. All is not what it seems in this tense, riveting performance.  January 11th - March 10th.

 

La Breve Y Maravillosa Vida De Oscar Wao

A bookish young Dominican boy sets out for his first semester at college away from home, but is gripped by a family curse that tests his capacity to preserve in the name of love. Performed in Spanish with English subtitles. February 25th - June 9th.

 

The Life and Slimes of Marc Summers

Follow the life of America’s darling TV host in this gameshow-esque theatrical memoir adventure. February 19th - June 2nd.

 

Make Me Gorgeous 

This is the true story of an LGBTQ-rights trailblazer and larger-than-life personality Kenneth Marlowe. From hairdresser to hustler, author to army man, columnist, to cosmetologist, Marlowe’s eccentric life is laid bare on stage for all to see. February 14th - February 25th.

 

 

Munich Medea: HAPPY FAMILY 

A rendezvous between two old friends brings them closer than they ever anticipated upon discovering the dark scandal that ties them together. January 30th- February 25th.

 

Nicole Travolta Is Doing Alright

The one-woman show designed to make guests laugh and contemplate the tragedies of life. Travolta talks debt, divorce, spray tanning, and much more in a vulnerable performance with perfect comedic timing. February 14th - February 24th.

 

Nina Conti: The Dating Show

As the name suggests, Conti stars in a unique dating-centric live show packed with biting humor and a masterful cast. The show can be described as nothing else but richly entertaining. February 14th- March 2nd.

 

The Office! A Music Parody

The infamous mockumentary TV series comes to the theater for a new level of laughs! This parody performance provides key plot elements of the original show seamlessly infused with a melodious mix-up! February 22nd - June 2nd.

 

Perfect Crime 

New York City’s longest-running show and it’s no secret why. Wealthy psychiatrist Maragert Brent is accused of killing her husband in this whodunnit caper. A flawless blend of true crime, drama, passion, and comedy created to appeal to a large cross-section of fans. February 18th - June 2nd.

 

Pericles

An evening of Mediterranean mischief including pirates, riddles, and of course… betrayal! Love, life, and the meaning of the two are woven into the fabric of Pericles while inviting audiences to come along for the ride and explore. February 8th - March 24th.

 

The Play That Goes Wrong 

Like Monty Python and Sherlock Holmes had an Olivier Award-winning baby. The Play That Goes Wrong is not afraid to make fun of itself which only adds to the delightful performance patrons will be treated to during this unforgettable and unconventionally captivating show. 

 

Radojka

When the elderly woman Gloria and Lucía have been taking care of passes away, the two women do everything in their power to keep their jobs in an absurdly amusing modern production. Spanish with English Subtitles. February 18th - May 31st.

 

Singfeld! A Musical About Nothing

Parody of the hit TV show with all the comedy and nostalgia to go along with it. February 18th- June 2nd.

 

Tennessee Williams's The Night of the Iguana

Williams captures an epic encounter between a scorned priest and a dying poet in the middle of the Second World War. Connection and taboo are at the heart of this masterpiece. Runs through February 25th.

 

Titanique: Une Parodie Musicale

Celine Dion’s frenzied musical ode to the iconic movie. Audiences will be enchanted by showstopping numbers, heartfelt moments, and joyful memories of the film. Run times start February 20th. 

 

White Rose: The Musical

Set against the backdrop of Nazi Germany, a group of university students meet in secret and work together to expose Hitler’s lies. Based on a true story. February 18th - March 31st.
